I personally lean to the Spring for his birth, myself.

Healing Pathways,
As for the April 6, 1 BC date that some read into D&C 20:1, we now know from the Joseph Smith Papers that verse one was added by the scribe as an introduction to the revelation. Only later with Elders Talmage and BH Roberts was it mistakenly interpreted to mean Jesus' birth day and year.
I consider John Pratt a very good astronomer and thinker, however I think he's tried to take the concept of 1 BC from D&C 20 and force feed the data into it. Instead, we need to look at the evidence and follow where it leads us. And the vast majority of scholars, including those skilled in archaeology and history (which John Pratt is not trained in specifically) agree that Herod died in 4 BC, meaning Jesus had to be born before that date.rameumptomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16109035792711248691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31320843.post-2560023486228224932015-01-03T15:57:17.077-08:002015-01-03T15:57:17.077-08:00With regard to the birth date of the savior ... ha...With regard to the birth date of the savior ... have you looked at John Pratt's work with calendars? How does this fit into a December birth?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08134327447816890351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31320843.post-63464128297624893352010-12-28T10:06:17.581-08:002010-12-28T10:06:17.581-08:00Not sure they linked right in the comment, so here...Not sure they linked right in the comment, so here they are in raw code:

Jim Faulconer: http://feastuponthewordblog.org/2010/12/19/nt-sunday-school-lessons-between-the-testaments/

Kevin Barney: http://bycommonconsent.com/2010/12/24/intertestamental-period/rameumptomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16109035792711248691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31320843.post-882522023723557992010-12-28T10:04:28.714-08:002010-12-28T10:04:28.714-08:00Here are a few great blog posts to prepare for NT ...Here are a few great blog posts to prepare for NT lesson 1:

Jim Faulconer's Intertestamental Period discussion

Kevin Barney's Intertestamental Period discussionrameumptomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16109035792711248691noreply@blogger.com
